"The Smithsonian's Discovery Theater, located in the Ripley Center on the National Mall in Washington, DC, is a live theater geared towards school-age children. Classic stories and folktales are told through puppet shows, storytellers, dancers, actors, musicians, and mimes. All shows are Mondays through Fridays, 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m."

"There it little that can be said of the country's most extensive museum that hasn't already been said before and much better. It doesn't matter what your interests are, the Smithsonian can accomodate them. Featuring some of the country's greatest historical and cultural artifacts, everyone should plan to visit this fine institution at least once in their life."

"Take the kids, especially during uneventful weekends. So much to see, Great, Great photo opportunities, especially if you're a photobug with your young kids. Large life like animals; looks like an inside zoo where you can touch and feel all the animals."

"There is no way to take in the Smithsonian and all it has to offer in a single day. You could, in fact, spend a week just wandering the exhibits and still feel as if you missed some things! Pick your favorite exhibits and spend time there - entrance is still free, but parking is a pain. Take the Metro to the Capitol Mall for best access. Don't forget to wear comfy shoes!"
